I had purchased an Acer 15" AMD Athlon earlier this year to replace my Dell Vostro that over heated and shut down to often. I was very impressed by the 8 hr battery and how cool it ran. I figured the Toshiba satellite would be even better with the Intell processor and Toshiba quality. I replaced th Acer. My toshiba kicked the AMD on windows performance score but overheated. I sold it the second month I had it and went and reviewed the Acer brand again. This model had the Intel processor and 4 gig ram etc. I loved the thing for it ran well a few pauses etc this week. Today it would not boot tried various recovery techniques. None worked so far. I dont like buying a computer that does not have OS on CD or DVD etc. so I am mixed I will try another and see what happens.Get more detail about Acer AS8730-6951 18.4-Inch Laptop.
